Laurie is a certified childbirth educator with ICEA a leading national childbirth education organization as well as a certified prenatal counselor for childbirth preparation trained in the Peterson Method. She is also a certified doula through DONA International and has been attending births since 2003. Laurie is a lactation educator and has been teaching prenatal breastfeeding classes since 2004.
As a mother of two children ages 7 and 10 she has deep love and appreciation for what birthing and caring for children truly mean. She enjoys bikram yoga, reading, power walking and the company of friends, family and of course, children.
